Pakokku is a name of a township of Pakokku District in Magway Division of Myanmar, on the Ayeyarwaddy River below its junction with the Chindwin. Pakokku town is a trading and shipping center and it's famous for its agricultural products including peanuts, sesame and rice. Besides, the town is also a prominent Buddhist center with more than 80 monasteries. It is easier to get there. There is a newly – built bridge from Bagan so you can access Pakokku in just several minutes.
