Inle & Indein Full Day Sightseeing Tour

Inle Lake is one of Myanmar's most captivating and beautiful destinations, renowned for its serene waters and unique way of life. The Intha people, who reside in floating villages and on islands across the lake, have developed a distinctive method of "leg-rowing," expertly propelling their flat-bottomed boats with one leg wrapped around an oar. This graceful technique makes for an unforgettable spectacle against the backdrop of mist-shrouded mountains.

A journey on the lake often includes a visit to the cultural site of Indein. Located on the western bank, Indein is famous for its "forest" of ancient stupas that rise from the overgrown jungle. Hundreds of these weathered, moss-covered pagodas, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, surround the main shrine, the Shwe Indein Pagoda complex. The intricate carvings and rustic beauty of the site offer a profound sense of history and spirituality. A walk through the local market in Indein is also a highlight, offering a chance to see traditional crafts and the vibrant daily life of the local community.

Program:

Pick up at your hotel in Nyaung Shwe or Inle Lake at 8:00 AM, visit a five-day market if it happens near your hotel. After that, a visit to the beautiful Indein with its 16th century Pagodas is a very pleasurable experience as you travel by your boat up a small scenic creek for about 25 minutes to reach the village of Indein.

After that, transfer back to Inle and sightseeing around Nga Phae Chaung (formerly known as Jumping Cats monastery); the famous Phaungdaw U Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images; Silk weaving industry at The Lay and Inn Paw Khone Village; Ywa Ma floating Market and Floating Garden, then transfer back to your hotel.
