Discovering the Golden City: A Journey to Yangon, Myanmar
Yangon (formerly Rangoon), Myanmar's largest city and commercial hub, is a destination where ancient traditions beautifully blend with a rich colonial past. Often called the "Garden City of the East," it's an enchanting metropolis filled with lush parks, serene lakes, and architectural marvels that promise an unforgettable experience for intrepid travelers.
The undisputed crown jewel of the city is the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda. This magnificent, 99-meter-tall gilded stupa, covered in real gold plates and adorned with thousands of diamonds and gems, dominates the skyline from its perch on Singuttara Hill.
Believed to house relics of four Buddhas, including eight strands of Gautama Buddha's hair, it is Myanmar's most sacred Buddhist site. Visiting at sunrise or sunset is essential to witness its breathtaking glow and the spiritual devotion of locals.

Sule Pagoda, situated at the city center and built in the early 3rd century; walking tour around historical "Colonial Buildings" including the City Hall, one of the grandest and impressive colonial style building and also the Supreme Court, Immanuel Baptist Church, High Court Building, and Railway Administrative Buildings are also magnificent remembrances of the bygone era.
Then we will have a lunch break.
Then, the National Museum, where you can find several interesting exhibits, Bogyoke Aung San ( Scott ) Market, should not be missed for souvenir shopping (usually closed on Monday and gazetted holidays). Enjoy your beautiful sunset at “Shwedagon Pagoda”, the most magnificent monument on Earth.
It was built over 2,500 years ago and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold, and the tip of the stupa is set with many kinds of jewels. “Shwedagon Pagoda” is the heart of the Myanmar people, and where you can find how much the Myanmar people believe and show respect to Buddhism. Then, transfer back to your hotel.
