Day 1: Yangon arrival
(Based on morning international arrival flight)
Arrival at Yangon International Airport you will be welcomed by your guide and start your sightseeing; Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda; White Elephants; Sule Pagoda; the colonial downtown area where you can see the over 100-year-old Strand Hotel, the beautiful post office, and the British Embassy. It is also the place where you can experience the local life of Myanmar people.
Then, we will drive to Botahatung Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, and experience the local life of Myanmar people. And then drive to the colonial Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market). End of the day you can visit the world-famous Shwedagon Pagoda for breath breathtaking sunset. Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon-Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Bagan. Arrive at NyaungOo airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After refreshment, start your first Myanmar experience with a visit to Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Pagoda, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi, Sulamuni Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple, and Thatbyinnyu Temple, and also visit a lacquerware workshop.
At sunset time you will be on a convenient temple selected by your tour guide for a panoramic sunset view over the temples. After visiting, drive back to your hotel. Stay overnight in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan – Mt.Popa – Yangon
After breakfast at your hotel, we drive to Mt.Popa, which supposedly rose from the ground in a massive earthquake in 442 BC. Mt.Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for its panoramic view of the local tropical region.
There is a volcanic plug with a temple on top that we can climb up to if we like on the way to Mt.Popa visit a local toddy palm farmer and see how palm juice and sugar are produced. In the afternoon return to NyaungOo Airport. Take your flight back to Yangon. Stay overnight in Yangon.
Day 4: Yangon Departure
(Based on morning international departure flight)
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to Yangon International Airport to take your onward flight.
